Airsoft in Bad Light at Local High Schools

Postby DevilPup93 » Tue Nov 01, 2011 12:11 pm

Kennewick Police were called to Kamiakin High School at 11:30 a.m. on October 31 after a student reported seeing a weapon in the possession of another student. The school briefly went into lockdown as police entered a classroom and secured the individual in question. An Air Soft gun, capable of shooting projectiles, was recovered. The safety of all students at Kamiakin was the highest priority throughout the coordinated effort by KPD, school administgrators and staff at Kamiakin. We applaud the student who did the right thing by coming forward with the information. Counselors spoke with students in the classroom and will continue to be available for any student who needs help processing the incident or just wants to talk.

This happened at our rival High School yesterday, even after my team speads alot of awareness about Airsoft to those who like to play it, this still happens... So sad.
