Airsoft in NV

Postby Kira » Sat Apr 23, 2011 3:27 pm

I was wondering if anyone new anything about airsofting near Reno, NV. I'm moving there in about 7 days, too bad I just bought woodland BDUs.

You probably won't find too much on here about Nevada, unfortunately. I think most of our players are from Oregon and southern Washington.
I did a quick Google search for nevada airsoft and found what looks to be a pretty good site, they seem to have several events right in Reno.

Also, don't worry too much about the woodland BDU's. Nevada as a rule might not be the lushest place on the planet, but I do know that Tahoe is pretty close to Reno, and I know that Tahoe is one of the greener places I have been (I used to spend about a tenth of the year there). If you do find that you need desert camo, you might be able to trade an almost new pair of woodlands for a used pair of deserts or ACU.

Thanks for the link, unfortunately it's not a community just a place to post events, there also hasn't been much posting in there since 2010.

Dang. Always sad to see an airsofter leave the community. That is, unless you're a Realtree warrior.

I think that Shakespeare posted this website, but http://nvairsoft.com/forum/ seems to be active and a good place to start.

Good luck, airsoft in the desert is pretty sick.

Sorry your leaving, I'm sure you could find someone willing to trade you for ACU's which work better than woodies in the desert.

As Shakespeare said, your woodland BDUs will still be good for events around Lake Tahoe - so hang on to them. Event hosts in the area usually avoid playing in the same location in any given month.

The weather has been unusually crappy as of late, but things seem to be picking up for a late spring opener.

Hope there will be a game going on when I'm in Vegas in June! I'd love to get to play down there.
