Proper gear can make the difference between being warm and toasty and being cold and miserable. A Gortex jacket, pants, a warm pair of boots and gloves are a MUST! And if you are in fresh snow more than a foot deep, snow shoes!

I laid here in the snow for at least 45 minutes defending this position and never got a chill.

Here is what I wore.

Matterhorn boots with 600 gm of Thinsulate and Thorlo boot socks. Use new socks whenever possible for best warm.
Light thermal underwear.
Loose Under Armor shirt.
Henley shirt
ACU uniform
German Flecktarn Goretexs shell (Top & Bottom)
Ski gloves
Neck warmer
Winter knit hat.

Oh, and if you are going to use a SAW or LMG, get a sled and tow the gun behind you. Then then swing it in front of you when you make contact, hit the ground and fire away. It's the only way to fight with a heavy gun in the snow.

Cheapest sled I found is a vintage British snow sled.

I would love to do it if I had the chance! Is there ever any snow at the farm?

This is up at Nitehawk near Spokane. I was invisible until I sneezed.

Our community plays every Sat. Rain, Snow, or Clear. If we can get to the field, we play. Although I must admit, I'm happy as hell that spring is finally here.

My first and only snow game was "Hells Open Gates". It was pretty powdered but damn awesome. :D
