Lonex "Flash Mags"

Postby RiotingCows » Mon Jan 17, 2011 1:56 pm

Couldn't find a discussion on it so figure i'd start one.
I'm trying to go all mids but this seems like something that could change hi-caps all together.

Just wanted to see what people think of them, what concerns you might have, what it's possible future in airsoft, and would you get one?

Splinter on CAG has one of those and he loves it. I haven't seen him use it that long though, so I don't know how durable they are, but you could ask him at Lord of War II. He beats his gear up quite a bit.

It's an intriguing idea, but it's still a high cap with a winder. I probably won't get any, and I'd like to think that it won't change anything for the folks who run "no hi-cap" events. Granted, I'm about to start buying and/or loading to "real cap", so maybe I'm not the target audience.

I think its a cool idea because you can just show up late to a skirm, pop in your mag and pull it twice to load it. done!

It's a clever idea- for hicap users.

What if they were to build it into mid or low cap mags so it would have a built-in speed loader that would require you too take out your mag turn your mag upside down and by pulling the wire it would load say 80 rds like you would a normal mid but from inside. It would most likely still have rattle. Just thinking about possibilities here.

That's basically a really crappy hicap that you have to wind every 100 shots.

For many the point of running mid cap or low cap mag's is for the realism of being forced to changing out the magazine when your empty, adding realism to the game. I agree with Nasty, I'm not a fan of the 200 round "mid cap" either it is a high cap, mag mascarading as a mid-cap. High cap does not = windy thing on the bottom, high cap means high capacity for holding ammo. So to me a 200 round mag is a high cap, but there is no good way for event guys to regulate this so they just have to let it go.
Now I'm not saying we should all go down to real cap mags. In CQC I can understand it (again adding to the realism) but for field play with factors like wind, engagement distances etc. A 70 round mid cap is the middle of the road, do the job nicely, add to the realism, and allow me to still have fun type of mag.
I think this high cap is a great idea for high cap users, it's easily concealable as a mid cap and adds to the "realism" of your load out.
But I hope if admins catch you on the field at a mid cap game with one you will be sent home packing.

AS far as high caps go they work well. The paint on them is cheep its started to rust. The cord holds up to some abuse. I have not used it all that many times as i prefer 90 round mids.I like the Milsim of changing mags, loading them to 90rds is the fast way for me because thats what my speedloader holds. The only time I use a High cap anymore is in training or the short games some times.
In short they are one of the best Highcaps out their.Thay work in KWA newer models .
