So why are they allowed to attend games? If they show up without a member that is "sponsoring" them, or aren't members themselves, how can they be held accountable when they cheat? You can't kick them if they aren't even a part of AP. Its also not hospitable (but its fair) to turn them away upon arrival.

Because the events aren't "owned" by AP, they're owned by the even promoters, who choose who to allow to play. That's one thing a lot of people seem to be afraid of is making games not open. There are arguments on both sides. Ask around, I'm sure you'll get plenty of opinions.

why cant the cheating player be weeded out by officials? Complaints are voiced, refs watch the player and when the complaints are validated they are kicked out for the day with no refund.

If people are allowed to write pros and cons about players, this is a slippery slope, if a group of people don't like another person, they can oust this player by reporting false claims.

Totally agree.. This is also not a popularity contest either, it a hobby. If you are in it to be popular stay or go back to High School.
