help with pm

hey guys im having pm problems. I sent a message to a guy about 5 days ago and its still stuck in my outbox. I sent a message to a guy yesterday and it went through right away and had a reply within 10 minutes. Is it just a server thing or am i missing something?

Your outbox contains your PMs that the other person has not read.

Sentbox contains your PMs that the other person has read.
