I'm new here. I'm turning 31 next week.
Two weeks ago a younger friend of mine told me about airsoft. It sounded like a fantastic way of satiating my primitive hindbrain's desire of hunting and killing stuff.
I've been lurking this site since then and have found it invaluable. Like all noobs, my initial knee-jerk reaction was to become a ninja-sniper, but quickly realized that's way played out yo.
So I decided to be a rifleman instead. I have a Tokyo Marui AUG A2 on order (Inb4 "Bullpups are for fags") as my birthday present to myself.
I'm not taking the whole military replica thing too seriously, as I have friends and family that are real soliders and I'm a marketing prettyboy. However, what's appealing to me are the inherent tactical and physical demands with this game. And I see a lot of benefit in that.
I am looking forward to getting some skirmishes in next month without getting all that serious.
