Hello All from the big cold AK!

Postby ZRat » Thu Dec 15, 2011 2:00 pm

Yes, that is right. You did read it. Alaska. Juneau to be more specific. I like long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners reading sticky's (sp) in my free time. :P Any who lets begin with the introductions.

My name is Zach, just moved up to Alaska due to the Coast Guard originally from Seattle. Used to back yard airsoft with a group of friends from the National Guard but nothing major. Unfortunately here in Juneau airsoft is pretty low key. But I hope to start up a group and visit once or twice a year to Washington for some of the events.

Current load out is a GI custom M4 with an AIM 4x32 fiber optic.
Currently looking at either a TAR 21 or a SL9. But don’t want to spend the money on some high end equipment and have it end up mantle piece.

Looking for advice in starting an organization. some basic low end load outs to convince the money misers i work with to get them hooked and a place that I can turn to when these 12 hour shifts start to take its toll.. Looking forward to feedback. And if your into candle lit dinners don’t worry I bring my own Jeffries

For some reason, from the title of this thread I keep wanting to think that you're posting this from an oversize freezing Kalashnikov.

Welcome to AP :)

I thought this topic was an ak47 that wanted to say hi to me.

Disappoint.

Good day sir.

I used to play in Alaska, though towards Anchorage.

You've got plenty of space to play in, since you're in Alaska. There are some good groups up there, they just aren't as organized as Oregon or AP.

I'd say there is at least some old abandoned building in Juneau that you could use as a place to play or start playing. Also make everyone use HPA or LiPos because the cold murders regular batteries.

Thank you all for the warm welcome,

When I was reviewing my post I figured that it would be seen as a large cold ak-47. Let’s face it; any god loving communist would want nothing better than to see an oversized Kalashnikov in the frozen tundra. And yes I do live in Alaska which is on the pacific... Just way way way north. But I would love to come down for some of the bigger events. Being stationed in Alaska for 4 years if going to take its toll. And if I can’t get a group together my only option is to fly down and get shot at else where.

Thank you guys again for the welcome, I’ll probably remain in the shadows checking out other posts until I’m brave enough to post outside here for fear of. Well the hell hounds that might correct my butchering of grammar and or punctuation. Or ask a question that’s been repeated elsewhere.
