If you have been playing airsoft in the Pacific Northwest, I’m sure you have heard about Camp R&R, but in case you haven’t, or would like to know more about this wonderful outdoor recreational facility, read on.
Camp R&R is located just off Hwy 6 about 40 miles west of Portland or 40 miles east of Tillamook depending on what direction you are coming from. This centralized location makes for a quick and easy trip from either the Willamette Valley or Oregon Coast to play airsoft or take advantage of the other amities Camp R&R has to offer. The current owners purchased the property in 1998 and after a lot of work turned it into the multiuse outdoor recreation facility it is today.
As Airsoft Pacific, we are going to focus on the airsoft aspect of Camp R&R. I personally started playing airsoft at R&R around 2011 and still try to hit the field many times throughout the year. Most of the field is wooded with a centralized town consisting of multiple structures as well as many other points of interest. Here is a link to the field map.
Camp R&R hosts games on the 2nd Saturday and Sunday of every month and adds the 4th weekend during the summer. If you need airsoft supplies including replicas, their field store Airsoft Essentials has everything you need. K&M Airsoft Rentals that I reviewed last month also rents out of Airsoft Essentials in case it’s your first airsoft game or want to bring a friend.
Another really great thing about R&R is they offer free camping to airsoft players, so if you want to make a full weekend out of it, plan on spending the night in the shaded meadow along the beautiful Gales Creek. Camp R&R is a must visit field for any airsofter.
