Nice allusion to cell phone bomb; I'm working on something that has a keypad, screen, and a clay backing with an adhesive strip. Looks pretty realistic so far, and is probably not the best idea in the first place.

Question Mark. To find interesting, or not to find interesting, that is the question.

That looks awesome. I've been trying to think up a device like this, but with the added feature of being able to be "disarmed"; I just haven't been able to think of a scheme that would be moderately difficult to do in the field but simple enough so that anyone could figure it out. Any ideas on how to do it? The best I've come up with is making a maze of wires and the only way to disarm would be to find the right path that is supplying power and disconnect it, but that seems a little to trivial.

The suitcase size cut-the-wires nogoboom has already been completed to some satisfaction in a different thread.

I *think* it was Jester that was last working on that project.

I made one a few months ago.

http://www.airsoftpacific.com/viewtopic.php?t=33358

I might start working on the next one soon. I would like to get an old military klaxon, motorcycle battery, multiple key operating switches, some LED's, and a big a$$ countdown display. But we'll see what happens.

What did you use for the timing Circuit? I got a couple of cycle-able project timers, but no luck on the display. I have a box I might try it on during my down time to see if I can get a display to work.

Standard LCD kitchen timer. Pain in the a$$ to rewire the push buttons to my buttons and switches, but it works.

Looking to use something like this:

SCREAMING MEANIE 220

or

Like you said though, wiring might be a bear!

The problem with those, is they are alarm clocks. The kitchen timer is nice in that it's a countdown mechanism. With the visible display, you get the pucker factor of that counter hitting zero. It makes cutting the wires much more intense.

So, is this a real version of what you are making, or is it just a prototype?

It is a really good design though, great work! :ownage:

@jester

Figured it already had the ability to sound an alarm and lights. Hook it up to a siren and might work out.
