Or you could get decent parts in your gun and not be an idiot and then you don't have to worry.

I need to know if anyone has removed the outer barrel from the echo 1 m4 platinum. It's different than any other Echo 1 m4/m16 that I've ever looked at. I know that Echo 1 has a history of gluing on parts, but it looks like there is a hex bolt going upwards in the upper reciever. Any help would be great.

See that spiky looking piece inside the delta ring? That's the barrel nut. You need to unscrew that and the barrel will come out of the receiver.

And unfortunately, for some reason the barrel nut likes to strip without budging. I've already tried turning it both ways. Inside the chamber that the hop up goes into, it looks like there's a hex nut going up into the barrel nut. Problem is, the space is too small for any of my hex wrenches to get to the nut.

That hex thing you see is actually to align the barrel, it doesn't hold anything in place. The barrel nut is normal threaded, but can be super tight.

Is there a chance that it's glued in there, since The flash hider was glued in place.
