In some games they say the cover (helmet, balaclava, etc.) have to match the bdu... Could I just paint my replica mich 2000 OD and wear woodland bdu's and get away with it? Or do i HAVE to have a woodland helmet cover?

You'd be good to go at 99.9% of Games. I've only seen one game that required matching helmet covers. I don't use helmet covers on my MICH's or IBH.
