Magnififer Trouble! Please Help!

Postby Octose » Fri Jun 18, 2010 6:25 pm

Few weeks ago I bought this, http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_reviews.php?cPath=32_177&products_id=29735

My cross on my eotech is like this after sighting in the Eotech and putting the magnifier behind it: Image

Does anyone know how to fix this? Much appreciated if so.

Seems like the mgnifier does not index properly with the eotech.

Check the magnifier for wiggle. Chances are, something is not screwed down tightly. That, or your flip-to-side spring loaded widget is not holding the magnifier tightly and you get wonky wobbling.

Once you have everything tightened down (loc-tite!), see where your magnifier lines up in comparison to your eotech reticule. You may need to swap out the mounting hardware on the eotech. An easy fix if it is a little too low is to get a QD mount for it. The QD mount will raise the Eotech up slightly and bring it in plane with the magnifier. Worst case, yan the spring that flips it to the side, and JB-weld the magnifier in place to the mount to keep it from moving.

I still haven't found a permanent fix for this, and it's really irritating, anyone have another suggestion?

The magnifier just isn't lined up perfectly with the actual optic, the only way to fix it is to either remount the magnifier or the optic.

can you see strait through the eaotech or are you seeing one side of it. What i'm trying to say is maybe there is some sort of lens defect and it's slightly been moved and is crooked from being dropped or bumped. I know the lenses are tough. Try a different magnifier to narrow down what exactly is causing this.
