This is not meant to be a diffinitive list or a perfect list. It's Just a general outline of equipment being used to help people build a loadout.

Body Armor:
CIRAS(Combat Integrated Releasable Armor System) vest.
MBSS(Maritime Ballistic Survival System) plate carrier, sometimes worn w/ Paca low vis body armor
RRV (Rhodiesian Recon Vest) sometimes worn w/ Paca low vis body armor.
BHI plate carrier
LBT 1961A H-Chest harness

I'm assuming most of the pictures came before MARPAT/multicam was around? hahaha

SEALS don't wear MARPAT (except that one guy who was given some, very isolated case) nor have they been documented wearing Multicam. If you've seen them wearing (what seems to be) MARPAT, it's probably AOR1 (that's what LBT calls is) or Digi2 (what Crye calls it).

Okay, so, given my tendency for the old-school, I'm working out a late 80s/early 90s SEAL loadout, with a focus around Operation Gothic Serpent. Mainly, I'm looking for two bits of information:

Photos of SEALs dated to that period.

Photos of what sort of Red Dot Sights were mounted to M4-type rifles. I'm using this for a basis of comparison. Yes, its great that I know they probably used an Aimpoint 3000, but what exactly did an Aimpoint 3000 look like, so I can compare to airsoft RDS on the market. This does not have to be specific to SEALs, just M4s with RDS in the early 90s.

Does this look enough like an early RDS that it could pass? I remember seeing somewhere a photo from around '95 of an SF carrying an M4 with something like this.

I think the front end of the scope, with the angular design, is easily recognizable as NOT an Aimpoint 3000.

In the second batch of pictures dated Oct 18, fourth picture from the top, guy at the far left. Can anyone identify the belt he's wearing for his subload and the type of suspenders he's using to support it?

Just give everyone in the military MultiCam and be done with it, for Christ's sake. They've proven that it's the best all around pattern so all this debate over different variants of MARPAT etc is completely pointless.
