I have no idea, but the story with Eagle surprises me.

The MBAV is literally an EPC with soft armor sewn in and a different tag on it.

Yup. And it's RLCS. So it's 1337.

From aqnother website

....... the Glock is a 23 and they are fairly new to the inventory. We've had Berettas for every man for a couple years now, but most choose not to carry a side arm because of the extra weight unless they've got an open-bolt weapon, Gus, or they're a sniper for obvious reasons.

I mean that would be effective in PACNW.

Basically... it seems like that would work. The Rangers are operating in cities and deserts nowadays, so they aren't really kitted out for woodland combat.

I've seen some kids around here running OD and MC, so yeah I believe it works fairly well
forgive my ignorance, it happens to everyone.

It's hard for me to translate all this gear talk, I'm what you call "gear retarded" So i'm about to ask a question that was probably answered but would something like this work for a ranger loadout?

For a Ranger-esque loadout, that will do fine. For a realistic Ranger loadout, you are going to want a RG Maritime CIRAS, MBSS, or RRV.

For a Ranger loadout, do NOT go with a 1961 chest rig. Ranger rigs are as follows.

Eagle Industries RRV w/ Back Plate and PACA underneath
Eagle Industries MBAV [civvie=EPC]
Eagle Industries Land CIRAS (Saw a Maritime once, couldn't find the pic)

All in Ranger Green. *fixed per DKJold's advice* They also use the RBSS, which is essentially an MBSS in ranger green.

EDIT: Also, me and another guy have been running Ranger Green, and it works fairly well here, even with ACUs underneath.

But 750, Multicam BDUs and a RG PC isn't even close to a complete Ranger rig. I just priced out the one I'm building, and in the end, it'll cost me almost $2000 to finish. But keep in mind, that is ALL real-steal gear, with the only repro being the gun itself.

All in Ranger Green. They also use the RBSS, which is essentially an MBAV with the cummerbund removed.

RRV = a chest rig.

And an RBSS is NOT an MBAV with the cummerbund removed. An RBSS is an MBSS in ranger green.
An MPAV with the cummerbund removed would be an Eagle Plate Carrier (without cummerbund).

FWIW: In the past, Rangers used the Land CIRAS - not the maritime. They also issue the RBAV as well...

Sorry, forgot to specify they don't use 1961s.

And I could swear I saw 2 or 3 pics of Rangers using Maritimes, but I could never find them. I know it sounds wierd, but I know what I saw. From my understanding, Rangers are no longer issued RBSSs or RRVs, but that only matters to milsim freaks like me.
