I like the outfit he is sporting. Looks easy to replicate, but nice at the same time.
Is that the guy that gets killed by one of the Snipers with the Dragunova.

Save for the kneepads, pistol + holster, and soft armor, I shall shortly have a very, very similar kit, except the tan is replaced with OD since we do not live in a desert. I do not think I shall complete the loadout and get the kneepads or soft armor, because they would not be comfortable or especially useful for my playstyle.

Knee Pads are pretty useful actually.

And yeah that looks more like an MP40 then a MP5.
