I bring several guns with me but only one primary into the game along with 4 mags and extra batteries.

@Spector-Are you trying to go for a certain look cause i really don't think anyone carries that many weapons.

No I thought I needed a bolt, but I found out last weekend I move up when I make contact. Eliminating the need of the bolt altogether. Then I'm going to ditch the one pistol in the vest to make room for mags for the pistol in the holster.

As I'm new I'm trying to figure out what's best. I had success with just my primary and a secondary, but there was a time where I really could've used my MP7 I left in the car. I went through my last mag and pulled out my GBB which was good but I was pinned down pretty good. Had I brought my MP7 as well, I think I could've done a little better...

Carrying extra guns usually isn't the answer. If you're using midcaps you can either 1. buy more midcaps or if you really spray buy highcaps (not my first choice) or 2. spend lots of time working on your fire discipline, keep your rifle on semi. Sheer volume of fire while helpful in certain situations is not always the best solution. To this day i believe that a couple well placed shots on semi are much more effective then spraying and praying.

Last time i went out i had my SCAR, and a sig. But one of my team mates let me use his mp9 as well. so when i was getting in some tight spots, i used that gun, since i could switch between targets easier. So if you are going to carry 4 guns. i would do it with a SMG instead of an SR. and instead of a 2nd pistol on your right side, i would put it on your ankle. And use it in a false surrender tactic.

Variable wrote:I rarely carry more than my primary. For several reasons:
-Weight
-Less stuff to catch on the terrain (IE: I'm more high speed low drag without a second replica)
-My primary is reliable, effective, and I carry enough mags

The caveat of course is games where a lower FPS replica is required for indoors or something, then I'll carry a pistol. As an example, I played through about 9 hours of heavy fighting at Lions Claw XI without a secondary, and never once needed one.

You could of used a secondary at the end of the 2nd day when you ran out of ammo 5 mins before the end of the last round. :p

When are you "false surrendering"?

So how many guns to the rest of you carry?

In addition to this, I would carry a tactical breaching shotgun and and MP9, for backup if both my pistols go down; at least 3 mags for that. One thing I have also started doing is carrying an ankle pistol for those time I fall backwards in the bushes while being engaged. I find that my time to re-engage is a lot quicker than having to lug my primary on target. I am usually successful about 85% of the time in that scenario. You can never have enough weapons on you, right?

The whole point of this thread is proving you wrong lol. Did you not read the entire thread? Yes, you can ALWAYS have too many weapons. You only need 2. Anymore, and it gets annoying.

I've decided that I will now carry two RPK's, my primary, two more secondaries, and maybe another primary or two. And by two, I mean five.

McNair, let me borrow that 240 so I can carry that around sometime along with my primaries and secondaries that I've decided to carry.

Anything more than a primary and secondary is overkill, I only carry a sidearm for backup reasons such as going dry with an enemy coming at you or if my primary gives an.issue.

I'm a M249 gunner and I feel that a 2 primary is needed. I carry a M249 (2box mags), M4 (5mags), MP9 (2mags) and a 1911. Iv had over 2 years of playing with this setup and it works great. Both MP9 and 1911 are firmly on my vest, M4 over my back with a two point sling, and the M249 on a three point quick detach sling. When the box mag runs out or I just run the M249 to hard till i strip everything, I still have a full load out.

also having this many guns is great as a sniper or support gunner. Ounce I find a position, I put all my guns around me ready to be used. I've set my M4 next to me while lying the M249down posted up so if I need to run n gun some 1 down I can leave the M249 for my squad and get sh** done. IF YOU WANT SOMTHING DONE RIGHT, YOU GOTTA DO IT YOURSELF
