Ok, let's talk radios! I need some community input.

Discussion of load-bearing equipment, tactical gear, holsters, BDUs, and other gear related to Airsoft.

Ok, I know this seems to be a necro-post, but it must be said.

Wouxun radios are designed to be operated in the amateur bands. They are also opened in their Tx range so as to ALSO allow for FRS/GMRS. That said, if you do in fact order a Wouxun radio, be extremely careful in your programming, as amateur radio operators are very touchy about others invading their hard fought for space in the bands. Really, your best bet is to either follow Jester's example and program something like an Icom, or explore the land mobile options. It will be more expensive, but you will be in a band where ?no? airsofters are currently operating.

If you have more radio-related questions, Nox (or anyone else), feel free to message me, and I can talk with you. I am paid to answer these types of questions, as I work at an amateur radio equipment store.

It is common knowledge.
