One thing that is interesting about the right-hand shooter MK46 guy in the photo, is the placement of his tac light on the left side of the rail system. If there's no tape switch (which is what it looks like on his) then the thumb would be used to activate it, since the light would just have the standard rubber button on it. If that's the case, then the tac-light should be on the right side so that the the left hand thumb is in a more natural position to activate the light. I know it's all preference per individual, but I had to state my observations to see what others have to say.
Does he have something that is more important on the right side of the rail system...maybe? ..Or is it actually better to have it set up that way on a SAW type weapon due to the width of the rail system being wider than a standard M4 set-up? I'm thinking AN/PEQ on the right side...
