PEQ suggestion

Postby Alien_Hunter » Mon Feb 17, 2014 9:27 am

I am looking to spend around $50-70 on a PEQ with a (good) green laser and a powerful led light. From a website like Airsoftpeak.com. If you bought one that works well and has cool features (high/low LED, green laser, strobe, etc.) please post a link and your thoughts on it.

The clone PEQ they have at AONW is pretty good from what I hear, little more money though

This one looked more my style. The VFC did not have a green laser and this one is 60 lumens brighter.

I don't use lasers for my AEG because I play outside mostly. Although I do have one on my 1911 that I used today at OAA, works pretty good I have to say. I say get the one you are looking at pretty cool looking and it works to so you get what you pay for.

The VFC PEQ is rather weak. Not worth the price point. The light wasn't that bright and the laser isn't that bright (I owned one). I had a Battleaxe (I think) green laser PEQ, the laser was awesome, but the box and switch wasn't the best.

The best PEQ I've seen so far is the G&P ones. I have a G&P PEQ2 and its solid as shit.

Honestly, I'd look for a separate light if you're looking for something with good output. The clone Scout lights they have on Ebaybanned are solid, rather bright and for $30~, a good price.

I agree. Playing with two of Jon's PEQ boxes, the built in lights are meh. The green laser is awesome. Definitely run a different light. I know the IR flood is decent from using them with NODs., but for a normal light, meh.

Don't know the rules in your area, but there are some places not allowing green lasers. Liability issues with eye damage. Just check your local regs, before buying something you can't use.

I'm by no means an AK purist, but putting a PEQ on an AK is reason enough to drive down to Cali and slap you.

A normal rail mounted laser would look much better on an AK than a PEQ.

Keep it gangsta Jew, keep it gangsta. Be careful, his ninja-pimp hand is strong!

Yeah I ordered a pretty groovy SHS full tune up kit instead. Tapered cylinder head (double O-ring), steel 16;1 gears, and other cool stuff.

I've used that money I was going to spend on an SHS tune up kit. I already have a drum mag and an elitist aimpoint thing.

Everything is a solid light and laser combination really.

I have an FMA one I picked up for ~25 with a green laser and stuff. Can't really zero it for shit, but it makes a pretty green laser beam of doom.

they aren't reliable as weapon lights, only for minor searching in low light conditions maybe and not wanting to blind people in doing so.

Reproduction surefire/real ones are the things you probably want for a solid weapon light.
