Thunder B Kydex holder

Postby Payback » Thu Feb 07, 2013 12:27 am

Don't know about the rest of you, but i tend to use my thunder B's allot at games. And i've always wanted a better way to carry them rather than putting them into a double m4 pouch. I've asked several kydex companies to make them with no response, and searched all over for them.

Well, somebody on facebook has been making them for a while, I only found out about it when somebody shared their photo.

What do you think, they look really cool, and an old post said they are $25 each. Kinda spendy for a holster, but i may try it just to have a good alternative to the mag pouch.

GMRpl0x.

Anything that doesn't protect the spoon makes me weary, but they look well made.

Why don't you like using M4 pouches?

My question is why those don't protect the spoon, it wouldn't be difficult at all...

Ummm, double m4 mag pouches don't protect the spoon either. The spoon sticks out of those also. And, the spoons on these things break really easy when thrown, I have one broken, but it still works.

Also, looks like if you just turn the flash bang towards the back the spoon would sit behind the kydex, and be hidden a bit.

They said they are $22 for standard colors, and $25 for multicam and digi desert. I think i'll order one to see how it works.

I just put in an order for two of these in OD. Once i get them i'll let you know how they fit and cover the spoon and all.

they are the same size as real steel bangs or gas grenades. You can get real bang or gas grenade pouches and use those.

That's a pretty outstanding idea. Lemme know how they work out. Might save me the trouble of trying to put something together.

What I'd love to see is a retaining device for the pin on the kydex. Thumb on the spoon, press it in, pull the bang off the rack, leaving the spoon hanging off the rack, and toss the now-armed bang. One hand, snatch and toss. Maybe set up a three-can vertical panel at about a 30-degree orientation for the right side of a vest, or 30 degree down for the rear of a carrier.

Put a zip-tie through the kydex plastic and pin...

The ones i have aren't the same size. Not even close. Like I said earlier, they only fit in a double m4 mag pouch. I don't even think the brown trip wire ones are small enough to fit in a flash bang pouch.

My Thunder B fits perfectly in a flashbang pouch.

Hmmm, i have the black round ones. When i bought them i tried them in several flashbang pouches at the store, not one would even get close to fitting in it.

I believe so, just the round black ones that say sound flash on them. I tried every flash bang pouch at the outlet when i bought them to see if one would fit.

They fit just right in a double m4 pouch.
