Asian sizing vs US NATO sizing

Postby God » Fri Jun 08, 2012 1:43 pm

Looking at buying a set of pants from ebairsoft or some other HK seller. My problem is, size medium/32" is the most common, but I wear xSmall or Small in NATO sizing. I've heard asian sizing=small, but how much smaller? I'm also wondering will their measurements be bigger than the actual pants? ie, 32" advertised, will that be more like 30"?

When buying from Asia, a common rule is to buy 1 size bigger. If you usually wear a small, buy a medium. If you usually wear a large, buy an extra large.

What Catch said.

I got a pair of chinese multicam pants that were "Large" but were actually Mediums.

Bigger is always better than smaller.

Also, you can find sites with measurements. For example, this. They even warn you by as much as 1-2 in. difference.
