I have a midland GXT-450 dual pin radio and am wondering if this headset will work for it.

This may not be the most expert response but no it most likely won't.
I have a midland radio and bought these (2pack)

When comparing the pins on in the picture on the Kenwood compared to the ones I have that work in the Midland the pin sizes are flipped. The larger longer pin is on the bottom with one "ring" and the smaller pin is on top with 2 "rings"
Kick me. I go "Moooooooo!!!!!"

To answer your question: Kenwood headset wiring is different from Midlands. I've had mixed success with Icom-wired headsets.
