we 1911 gas problems

I just bought a we meu 1911 gbb and the sapien arms propane adaptor http://www.amazon.com/TSD-Propane-Adapt ... B002IYLDHK and when I fill my mag up gas will leak out the side of the adaptor. Is this normal? Also my mag will only shoot an average of ten rounds per fill. Is there a way to fix this?

it is normal for the gas to leak out the side of the adaptor or for the magazine only holding enough gas for ten shots or both

yes, gas leaks when filling. a lot of the mags dont have o-rings on the fill valve, so that happens. the gas efficiency thing is a regular problem with the WEs. you can usually fix it to some extent by spacing the piston head, theres a tutorial on here that i wrote up a while back on how to do it.

I found that part of the problem came from the propane adaptor because it was missing the seal that connects the adaptor to the tank

what brand adaptor are you using I've had problems with airsoft inivations plastic adaptors

How much do you fill the mag up? Make sure you fill it up for at least 6 seconds and put silicone in your propane adapter

no offence but we pistols are not the best and thats what happens I had one and the adaptor you get what you pay for a 12 dollar one is not going to preform like the madbull one that is aluminum

Blacksheep, an aluminum and plastic propane adapters do the same thing. The only difference is the aluminum ones are of course aluminum and the plastic ones are plastic.

i have had MUCH better luck with the plastic adapters than with the metal ones. the $20 tan plastic one from airsoft innovations is probably the best on the market.

Plus have you ever tried putting on an taking off the metal ones? If done to fast they spray gas every were, freeze your hand and just mess your day up. Plus once it start spraying you have take it like a man and keep going to stop it.. very dangerous, as you know (i pray to god you know) gas is highly flammable and if sprayed everywhere there is a much higher chance of coming into contact with a flame. I love my tan plastic one that everyone's been talking about.

I'm voting for the metal propane adaptor. I've used it now for 4 years (same one), and never had an issue with it. It doesn't leak gas, it doesn't "spray gas" as Patrick750 seems to think (no matter how fast, it still just pops a little at the end). As long as the mags have an O-ring in the fill valve then they don't leak during filling...

I have all three. The best one is indeed the tan plastic one, followed up by....SURPRISE! The "crappy" green one! The aluminum one gets really cold really fast, and frosts into the fill valve if you fill ~3 mags/shells at a time.
