WE High Capa Feeding Problem

Postby Switchback » Fri Mar 11, 2011 3:50 pm

I have a beautiful WE High Capa, but it doesn't like feeding on my new WE magazines. Sad Face. Is this the magazine, the feeding thing (that the gas comes out of and propels the BB), the feed ramp itself, or something else? This usually happens at the end of a magazine, leading me to think it is either gas or a feeding issue.
I checked the other topics about fixing WE High Capas, but I think this requires a part replacement.

Slide jammed from top, you can see the G&G .25:

The "feed ramp" with BB in place:

I kind of want to get this fixed ASAP, making "get a TM" or "WE sucks" type comments useless.

you probably need a new one of these.

there's a little tab on the bottom of that that scoops a fresh round into the chamber. if its broken off, it wont load right. take the slide off and take a picture of the underside and post it, ill tell you if that's your problem or not.

Got the valve, and installed it. Works fine, feeds bbs. Works fine until I use gas.

I pull the trigger, and the whole mag of gas shoots out the front, and doesn't blow back. I added lube to the blowback chamber, where everything is intact, and stil no difference.

I really want this bad boy up and running, and I'm prepared to go to hell and back. To which the pistol replies, "Gladly, race you there."

you forgot the guts to the nozzle. there's a little phillips screw on the bottom of it that holds some internal parts. its not just open gun, drop in new part, reassemble. you have to move the guts of the old part into the new one.

if it makes you feel any better, i did exactly the same thing the first time i did one.

Going to go try that (thanks for all the help; I'll be back with pics)

Instead of creating a new thread, i'll use this one since it may be a similar issue.

I just got a WE Hi Capa 1911 today, pic on new acquisition thread, with it i got 1 gas mag and 1 co2 mag. I put in a fresh co2 cartridge and proceeded to shoot the gun, by the last 10 of 30 total rounds the gas started spewing out the top and back and wouldn't shoot. I'm guessing i was out of gas. I had also done this on a fairly rapid fire. I loaded up the gas mag with green gas and same thing happened. Then i tried to refill it and when i shot next, my eyes got a shot of gas in them, but the gun shot, then the tip of the mag iced over.

Now this is my first ever nicer gas pistol, so am i just shooting it too fast and causing it to ice over? It was cold out, and i was in my garage.

Also, is there any maintenance i should keep up on it, things to check often?

Any other suggestions would be great. Thanks.

alrighty, a few possible explanations:

-How cold is cold? Whats your ambient temp? If its cold gas guns perform poorly. Which is why gas guns are more popular in florida and California ,as the temps are warmer year round.
-if you're rapid firing you can certainly get the issue of internals locking up and the striker valve/nozzle freezing over. Try firing at a space of one second between shots. see how that works
-your striker could be getting stuck, as well as your nozzle. try lubing it up with silicone oil.

My guess is that it's occuring after you get halfway through your mag? That usually is an indicator that you're unloading your shots too fast. Best thing is to warm up your mags on an inner pocket for a few minutes before starting a game ,that helps stabilize and raise the pressure, getting you more shots off.

Hey! No hijack!

Anyways, my loading nozzle broke (thanks bro) again. Same thing. Is there something wrong with the magazines, or is this extremely common?
