KWA KP45 Problems

Postby Hutch » Sun Feb 27, 2011 7:23 pm

I just got my kp45 back from repair(shooting problems) and It started breaking down rapidly, I mag has been freaking out lately, and my slide-catch just broke =(. I dont know if this means I'm unlucky, or my pistol just sucks. I spent $145 plus $39 for repair. should I just buy a new pistol or spend even more on repairing it?

Just repair it. Eventually, you will end up with a like-new gun. Either continue to fix it until there are no problems, or just sell it for cheap and put that money towards a new gun. Either way man, sorry it is having problems.

When did you get it back? Where was it getting repaired? Where did you originally purchase it from? What was being repaired on it? When did you purchase it? What do you mean by "mag freaking out"? How did the slide catch break?

Be as specific as possible to receive the best help available.

I have had problems with the slide release on KP45's just falling out because they were really loose. Maybe they just fell out before they broke.

I think Switchback is doing fine Jester... He's just trying to help, and I give him credit for it.
and BTW, the small piece on the slide catch that catches the slide is what broke off, and for your information Jester, I do all of my Airsoft buisness at AirsoftOutletNW, and as for Time, "Just" got it out as I said in my first post, and I've had the gun for a few months now.

Just is not a measure of time. Days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, millennium, ... those are measures of time. "Just'' means absolutely nothing.

I was not digging whoever did your repairs, just trying to figure it out. Usually the bigger companies have guarantees on their work. If the parts that broke, are the parts that got fixed, I'd contact AONW about it. If they are different parts, I'd talk to KWA as it seems you got a lemon (assuming you purchased it new and not from someone else, that usually voids all warranties because you can't know what they did to it).

I bought it new. and the slide catch had nothing to do with the repair. This is my first time with this problem. The gun still works, It just wont lock the slide in the open position.

It could quite possibly be a problem having to do with the follower in the magazine. Post a picture of the upper half of the magazine, and on one of the sides with a small vertical cut. If the follower is the problem then you just need a new one; they are cheap and easy to replace, and it means nothing is wrong with the gun.

the teens are gathering strength against you jester. They just might revolt soon.
but on topic, is it a new MODEL (NS2) if not then that would explain the "mag freaking out" especially if you've used it during the colder months. also, where have you been storing the mag?
