WE High Capa Magazine Fix

Postby Switchback » Fri Feb 25, 2011 7:43 pm

I got a WE High Capa for a steal today, and was warned the magazine leaked. It is in perfect condition barring the leaky fill valve. After calling the Outlet (7 mikes after close, dangit), I decided to check it out. From my examination, the valve's body (the head of the screw, so to speak) is ripped up, and the seal inside is cracked. Having gingerly removed, cleaned, and replaced it, it still leaks.

But not to despair! I found this bad boy on AONW, and was wondering if this would fix my problem. I am quite certain it will, but it never helps to have affirmation from those who are more experienced in the field of GBB's.

nope, that's the flow valve you linked to. you want the fill valve (from looking at your picture). if you can get that bad one out, you can replace it no problem, and im pretty sure ASO has them.

Darn. I bought the flow valve and an extra magazine, so now I guess I just need a fill valve. Whatever, I'll probably need the part sometime anyways.

As much as it pains me to do this, I could only find one (after 3 minutes on Google) on Evike that was in stock.

If anyone is making an order off of Evike anytime soon, I would like to give you $10 for the $8 valve (so I don't need to pay shipping).

thats the same part. i know we have them in stock, i just saw some today. WE uses the same valve for most of their guns, cuts costs.

the leaking may not be the fill valve, it might be the o-ring around the bottom of the magazine. empty the gas out, and remove that phillips screw from the bottom. carefully pull out the base plug of the mag and rub some silicone oil on the o-ring that's around it, then reassemble it. that is a very common problem on the WE hicapa magazines.

I tried that already; it is cracked.
Do your online orders come from the Cornelius store? Maybe you could toss in a fill valve instead of a flow valve before it ships on Monday?

I'd rather buy one off AONW anyways.

im not there, but call them first thing monday. if you made the order over the weekend, chances are it hasn't been shipped yet. if it hasn't, they will probably fix it for you.
