WE 1911 Style C upgrade help

Postby l0cus » Thu Feb 24, 2011 10:09 am

Hello everybody, Yesterday i order the WE 1911 Style C Full Metal Blow back from
Code: Select all
http://www.hitguns.com/WE-1911-Style-C-Full-Metal-Gas-Blow-Back-p/we-029-1911.htm

and I wanted to put a threaded barrel so I can add a suppressor. BUT I have searched over the internet and other people asking the same thing but i just am not sure which one is best for that gun.

Will this one work?
Code: Select all
http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Accessories_Conversion_Kits_GBB_MADBULL_235mm_Precision_Barrel_Threaded_Set_for_SOCOM_GEAR_WE_1911_MEU1_MEU.htm

Any other suggestion are more than welcome :D

I cannot get your links...

WE makes good enough guns, but I've always had magazine problems.

Any TM 1911/MEU compatible barrel with threads should work. Just a warning, WEs tend not to like suppressors much - the weigh down the barrel too much, especially considering how loosely they are built. If you put one on your gas efficiency will go down (I have this experience from owning three WE 1911s).

Or maybe These two:

Code: Select all
https://www.trinityairsoft.com/p-1765-we-threaded-metal-outer-barrels-for-gbb-airsoft-pistols.aspx

https://www.trinityairsoft.com/p-1268-socom-style-silencer-barrel-extension-by-classic-army.aspx

Thanks for the advise though, i will considering getting another gun maybe an M9

I would advise against getting M9 styled airsoft guns. They have fragile triggers prone to self-destruction.

Basically, it comes down to if you want a suppressor get a KWA USP Tactical or wait for their MK 23. Although the trigger breaking issue on the M9s is not that hard to deal with, you can replace that spring for like 10 bucks. In reality suppressors won't help you much with a GBB gun.

aaand one more thing, since I can't find an place that sells green gas around me, is there something else I can use with out messing up the gun?

Like I read somewhere about R-134a which is also known as duster gas.

Green gas and propane are effectively the same thing, just get a propane adapter and some silicon oil.
