High Flow Vales For GBB'S

OK, so what exactly does a high flow valve (the ones that go inside the loading nozzle) do to a gbb? Are they worth the extra money?

part of me wants to shitcan this thread just because you quoted yourself ten minutes after your initial post because you were impatient. just know that.

a high flow valve has larger ports for gas to travel from the magazine to the chamber and operate the gun when the striker is hit. it means you get more power/velocity, at the expense of gas efficiency. its a modification to the magazine, meaning the gun will only be "upgraded" when you are using that mag. normal valves can be modified with some careful dremeling/drilling into higher flow valves.

in my opinion, its a somewhat useless modification on most blowback pistols. it can add 20-40 fps, but can also dramatically lower how many shots you get out of a magazine. most pistols aren't even close to competitive with even smaller AEGs, and should only be used for close quarters or as a last resort. there are better things to spend your money on than pistol upgrades unless you are shooting a NBB or shooting gas pistols competitively.

If you do go that route, some stock hammer springs lack enough oopmh to trigger the valve, so upgrading the hammer spring is a good idea.
