Are there usp .40 s&w gas pistols?

Postby Stray » Tue Dec 28, 2010 7:42 pm

I own a TM .40 usp AEP that was busted to hell. I like the h&k mag drop style and the size of this AEP. but I can't find parts for it. So I was wondering if there are any models that are gas out in circulation? Well out and worth the money.

I know there are gas 40's on the market, I used to own one that was a china clone and it worked pretty well AND went full auto if you wanted it to.
I believe the brand name was SY? Full metal and well worth the money for it.

KWA KP8. It's a .45 replica, but they're about the same size.

@Nox is that SY blow back?
@Snowman I don't think I've ever seen that model before, does it have the h&k style mag drop?

@snowman that's one nice looking compact I think I will try to find one. Costs about the same as a new tm usp 40 aep so it might be worth the buy.

That's actually the full-size version, if you're interested in the compact version:

Advantage is it's cheaper, disadvantage is shorter barrel and slightly smaller mag cap.

Is there another site that might have the full specs? 2 rounds less doesn't seem much. and fps is the same. I would like to see the over all weight and size of each and total barrel length of both. I really want one only because me pulling a normal pistol off my vest looks like a normal guy whipping out a degal. I tried it with a mk.23 once people said I just look funny.

Yes the WA S&W 4013 TSW is a very good GBB pistol..I have 2 of them. Very compact and they include a detachable bottom tac light rail.

You can get them for less at WGC and other places...

Don't listen to all of the naysayers..these little guys kick like Mule and shoot straight...just use duster gas along with 10 weight silicone R/C oil every 3rd or 4th spent mag and try not to use green gas..but every now and then. They still shoot fairly hard with only duster gas.

Depends on your hand size. Tthe compact grip is too short for those with large hands. The compact is generally suited for concealment. Not so much a consideration in airsoft. See if you can find one to try in your hand, or go to a real gun store and try it with the real gun. Pretty close in dimensions.

there are S&W M&P replicas out now. they are non gas blowback. they also use CO2 only, and currently shoot about 480 FPS wich is way too hot for CQC, and even hotter then most AEG outdoors.

until a version comes out that is acceptable for our standards here in the PACNW, i will be steering clear of them.

anyone seen fielding them will be asked to leave it in thier car i would imagine.

the reason to have a secondary is so you do not have to saftey kill someone up close, but if this replica is shooting that hot, and if you do so upon me, you might find your replica in pieces.

just saying.

I think I will go to a gun shop and try them out just yonder which feels better. I was. Only thinking it would be better for a compact because I'm so small. And the draw time be shorter even if it's only a fraction of a second not sure if it would matter really though. Thanks DJ for that idea I never would have thought of that. @ka-bar that pistol would be nice but heck no not with that fps. I'm starting to play cqc now that's the whole reason I'm getting a pistol. And I don't need to be yelling bang bang the whole game lol. Maybe when they make one within tac tac's 310 fps I'd get one though
