KJW Excellerator 6" Hi Capa Questions

Postby Sparky D » Thu Nov 04, 2010 11:23 am

I'm contemplating a new gun purchase, and the KJW Xcellerator seems to be the one that my mouse clicks on every time:

Now, if all you're going to say is "Evike sucks", then please be mature and don't bother posting...

What I want to know is if anyone here has first hand knowlege of this particular gun.

My future plans for it would include replacing the hammer and sear with steel aftermarket, a TBB for a 7" Hi Capa cut and crowned to fit, new hop up bucking, and an Airsoft Surgeon light sear spring for a crisper trigger.

Eventually, I'll want to turn this into an IPSC/IDPA competition style gun for CQB use.

Any first hand information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
D
Well, you can start a new topic and get flamed for not searching, or you can search and get flamed for necro-posting. It's really your choice...

If the price is the selling point for you then get it, for a skirmish pistol it is a decent buy for the price. However as a race gun no i would stay away. here are my reasons. Because this pistol is made of cheaper cast parts (but has some cnc machining) so the tolerances on it are not the greatest. Also with that I felt it was a bit to rattly and the barrel in it, simply said moves everywhere. Also the rate of fire for this thing is horribly slow, maybe a good short stroking may make it work, (personally didn't hold onto it long enough to bother to do the work), but a stronger spring is definitely needed. Over all it is not worth the effort to make this into a proper race gun. you would be better of starting with a WA infinity if that is the look you are going for.
