KWA MP9

Discussion of GBB (gas blowback) replicas.

KWA MP9

Postby YOGI » Sat Oct 02, 2010 2:36 pm

I just bought my first gbb subgun, and I've seen all the reviews about this particular one, and I didn't really see any cons on the reviews and I was wondering if there was anyone that has owned this gun and I could get some advice on it

I don't own the gun, however I have shot it, the only con I experienced was that if you are using the iron sights, the gun blows gas right back into your eye everytime the weapon is fired. However this could add to the realism factor.

other than the fact that it is damn near impossible to find mags, and most of their subguns use proprietary parts, they are almost perfect

they will come out with mags eventually, they always do. and KWA has a fantastic warranty department. if you cant find parts or get your gun taken care of you aren't looking hard enough.

I was talking to the group at AONW and they dont have mags yet but i have seen them around GI. I have the one with the foregrip. Jesse had a good Idea if i wanted to use it as a backup for my bolt action sniper i could put a very powerful magnet on the side of my plate carrier and a magnet in the space inside the foregrip since it is hollow so it would lock into place. that way, it wouldnt be shaking around while i run. the only problem i thought of was if it got close to the battery or motor in my AEG, that could possibly screw up alot of things.

If a magnet would actually harm either of those, I'm pretty sure just having the magnet on your person would do it. I have seen rather weak magnets screw with a computer monitor from 18 inches away, 18x as far as their pull on each other reaches.

A magnet strong enough to hold a gun will easily hit the motor and battery too.

So the question is, would the magnet do anything to either of them?

Bag the magnet idea. A hydration pack or a one point sling works wonderfully. I use this on an mp7 which is a little bigger.

you could try to rig a weapon catch on there, that would weigh a lot less than a magnet, and it wouldn't mess up your electricity dependent internals of your AEG.

Why does everybody ask for feedback on a gun *after* they buy it?

Best option is to either run it as a primary, or use a one point sling with a weapons catch. That, or holster it if you got the version lacking the front grip... actually, that reminds me. They make a shoulder holster for machine pistols with vertical grips, with a two mag carrier on the opposite side. I think it's by Milspex? Google "MP5K shoulder holster airsoft."

In terms of modification, all an MP9 really needs is a good reflex sight. A thirty dollar red dot will do fine. I'd carry four mags, minimum if we're talking a primary, two if it's a backup, with a short mag so it doesn't snag while holstered.

GBB machine pistols are really not all that different from a standard pistol in terms of play style. You got a handier, fairly short ranged weapon that doesn't pack a whole lot of ammo. You're going to mainly maneuver and avoid the serious firefights and take people at close range, though the KSC TMP is astoundingly accurate for a machine pistol. You can make those long shots a user with a Mac 11 or MP5K user couldn't.

Yes, I test shot it. it can hit accuratly up to 140-150 feet. I was also told they dont make mags for it yet. AONW said they would come out in november and thanks up there for the holster thing ^^

Right. Doesn't it use the same mags as the KSC MP9, though?

KSC MP9 and KWA KMP9 are both different gas system.

KSC MP9 is still using the OLD hardkick engine. KMP9 are base on the NS2 engine.
