KSC Glock 19 Part #22 Problem

Postby Fabzster » Thu Sep 09, 2010 10:30 am

Hi

I have a KSC glock 19 have only had it for like 2 months and used it twice in a squirmish. It got full of sand. I stripped it and removed all the sand and re-lubed it. Now when the gun is loaded up I:

1. Pull the slide back
2. pull the trigger
3. the gun fires a BB
4. I then pull the trigger again and nothing happens
5. pull the slide back again
6. pull the trigger and 2 bb's come out
7. then try pull the trigger nothing happens
8. pull slide again
9. dumps the propane

I have stripped the gun again and noticed that part #22 when pulled forward does not return to it's original position.

I have made a video here:

Please assist I have hardly used this gun and getting rather annoyed

did you take the blow back unit out of the slide? how full of sand was it?

Pull your blow back unit out of the slide, i suspect the spring that pushes that "part 22" back into position.

No, I can not take a better photo of mine - my blackberry isn't made for taking close up photos like this. That spring pushes forward on a rib in the slide, and back against part 22. When the cylinder there fills with gas, it expands pushing the slide back, the bb forward, and when the gas pressure equalizes, the spring pushes part 22 back, allowing it to reset.

I'm guessing that spring is missing/damaged/pinched. In some way that springs function is impeded.

Hi

and thank you for the prompt reply

I have stripped it and the springs do look slightly bent but they were fine the first time I took them out today and there was a problem before they were bent so this happened during the course of today. I have attached a pic.

I'd really say, fix the ends a bit with a pair of needlenose pliars to return them to original condition, then put them back in, and carefuly put the blow back unit back in the slide.

I used a toothpick to hold the spring (you have two....I have a short one coiled inside a long one) in place as I slide the blow back unit back into the slide, to keep it from getting pinched. The rib in the slide should hold the spring in place once the blow back units in place, and prevent it from further damage.
