GBB Pistols (need tips and advice)

Postby Nark » Fri Aug 13, 2010 12:18 am

So I know all about main airsoft brands like TM, G&G and VFC but only TM makes pistols. Are they any good? I look around and I see numerous companies that make GBBs but I can't find any info on the company in terms of quality or reliability. I've heard KSC and TM are among the best but I'd like personal input from people that have a GBB pistol. If anyone knows a company that makes a quality H&K USP model let me know please, if I can't find one of those I'll just get a 1911 model due to what seems like everyone makes a 1911 mag due to the popularity of the gun.

A TM will almost never let you down. I've owned the same TM Beretta twice and its had more hands on it than a hooker in Saigon, but still kicks some serious a$$.

KWA makes a great USP though, thats the model you're looking for specifically, www.airsoftoutletnw.com and many other retailers carry it.

most of the TMs ive seen are built to take duster gas. it means lower power but so long as you use the duster gas, they are reliable. without a metal kit, they usually don't last on the far more common green gas.

you cant really go wrong with a KWA pistol. they are expensive, but they are some of the nicest pistols on the market. their glocks are what i measure all other GBB pistols against.

WE is alright, inexpensive and metal but they have little quirks. you get what you pay for. ive got three WE M1911s and they all work, although they dont all look pretty.

KJW can be hit and miss, my KJW P226 is still going strong and ive had it for four or five years. i also had a KJW beretta that broke within 300 rounds.

there are tons of other brands, but if its a USP you are looking for look at the KWAs. they arent too expensive and they are top notch.

If you want a USP, go with KSC/KWA. I loved mine when I had it.

If you want a 1911, a TM with a metal body kit will be the bee's knees.

+1 for KWA/KSC, KSC if you can get em. my KSC glocks actually have the small safety lever on the trigger (fron Asia). I also have the kwa 1911 mk2 . very nice. I personally like the glocks , one of the reasons being maga capacity. In the end buy what you like

My personal favorite pistol of mine is my Western Arms, but that's a specialized weapon that is very spendy. The KSC/KWA Glocks are excellent, currently the sidearm I use the most often is my KSC Glock 26 (despite how much I love my WA, it is a 6â€

Newer TM gas pistols can take propane, but the TM glock that I have doesn't look and feel as good as my KSC/KWA, but performance about the same.
KSC USP series are good, I had both of the USP45 & the compact, but they were shooting kind of slow.
WE has many really quality built 1911s, WA makes the best 1911, yes, very $$ as Vogonford saids, and they are more as a show-gun than a skirm gun.

I submerged my KWA usp in the stream while crossing it and got back up noticing and was like eh and when it came time to use it, it worked as good as new. Maybe a little stiff because it probably needs more lubing after that drench. Any USP I recommend KSC/KWA and 1911 are TM, WE is the more of 2nd pick unless you really like the gun because it's less reliable
