WE Tech Meu Safety issue

Hi i just got a we tech meu. The safety on the left side of the gun won't go upward all the way for some reason. So now the safety won't work. It seems like it is jammed. Anyone know what is wrong?

My experience with having owned four WE 1911s of various types is that their safeties suck. It's better to keep them on half cock or not cocked at all.

well im not sure if you know this but on 1911 replicas the safety shouldn't be able to engage unless you have racked the slide once. after which then the hammer lock will be able engage. least i think that is your problem.

ok, i found out my problem. you guys were right. I didn't know the hammer had to be back in order for the safety to be able to be activated. Thanks!
