Broken magazine? Gas leaks

Postby Outlaw » Wed Jul 14, 2010 3:29 pm

So one day I was filling up my WE 1911 mag with green gas, and then when I stopped, all the gas rushed out and it keeps happening. What does this mean, and how do I know how full I'm supposed to fill my pistol magazines?

Where is it rushing out from? The fill valve?

Sometimes, the fill valve will come apart in the gun (do you hear something rattling inside?). It's a pretty easy fix.

As for how long to fill, usually 3-5 seconds is all it takes, maybe a little longer for the larger mags like Hi Capas.
Well, you can start a new topic and get flamed for not searching, or you can search and get flamed for necro-posting. It's really your choice...

It's coming out from the fill valve as soon as I move the adaptar away or stop filling it up. Did I puncture something?

I don't know a whole lot about gas mags, but I had an HFC mag that did the same thing, except it would all come out the top of the mag. I took it apart thinking I had cracked/broken an o-ring and it turns out that one had been moved somehow allowing all the gas to escape it works fine now. So if you're feeling adventurous you could always try that approach. Hope this helps!

I don't know much about airsoft or what an o-ring is. Am I better off just buying a new magazine or is there a way to replace it?

Best bet is taking it to AONW and getting fixed. Gonna be cheaper than buying a new one.

That's what I planned on doing this Saturday since myself and a bunch of friends are heading over there to get some more stuff before we go camping. Any idea how much they charge?

20 dollars for all 3, wow great deal. How long did it take for them to get around to fixing it, like a week?

easy easy easy fix you didnt really have to take it some where to fix it. All you need to do is replace the fill valve or and O ring that keeps the seal.
