Help Me Pick A Quality GBB Pistol

Postby mangel » Sun Jun 13, 2010 5:03 pm

KSC Glock 19:

http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/ksc-g19-gbb-pistol-metal-slide-version.html

I hear it is an amazing pistol. Only problem is I have to order it overseas.

KWA M9 Tactical:

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_25_63&products_id=3910

Looks amazing and has great features. Made by a great company and it completes that modern military look.

What are your opinions on which pistol I should get. Also, is there another option I should consider?

Well, if you can find the KSC G19 in stock, go for that. I think it's hot. M9s are too common.

Yeah, Nasty, I hear that Tokyo Marui makes great stuff. Only thing is that they're plastic. That doesn't seem to realistic to me.

The only con is that this is the only place I've found a decent holster (unless you want to use a drop leg platform and a molle holster) http://www.blade-tech.com/

Both are cool. I think M9s look better, personally. Between those two it's really more a matter of personal taste rather than quality of product.

Tokyo Marui makes some of the best GBBs ever. Their plastic is more resilient than WE's metal. Not even joking.

I would recommend any TM gas pistol.

I have a KWA G19 & a TM G17, both are very good.
TM has very good internal, but the plastic isn't as good as the KSC/KWA version, the plastic slide is kind of thin, and the lower does not give me the same feel as the KWA version.
They both are very realiable guns, very good gas consumption, easy take down & being good sidearm :)

Consensus seems to be that both guns are some good shit.

Question is, is it worth the money to get a TM and then get a metal body for it. So the externals will be on par with the KSC/KWA.

Or are the internals of the TM not that much better than the KSC/KWA that its not worth it.

If you get a metal body kit for a TM, its gonna look better than a KSC/KWA. Prime and PGC kits can turn a TM into about the most real looking GBB pistol out there.

TM internals are epic, plus the aftermarket support is great so you can tweak it just so.

Basically, if you want something to start with, a KSC/KWA/KJW will do you proud. If you have the money and really want to build the GBB pistol of your wet dreams, get a TM.

I just got the Guarder metal slide for my G17, super easy to install & took me less than 5 min :)
PGC slide could take a little longer, especially to re-install the sights.
