Tokyo marui Glock 26 slide jam

Postby r56mcs » Mon Jun 07, 2010 3:56 pm

Hi.
I just received the TM Glock 26 today in the mail from Hong Kong.
I used the Duster gas and it shoots fine then AFTER SEVERAL GOOD, NORMAL SHOTS, the slide doesn't slide all the way forward and gas leaks all over the gun. I took the magazine out and there are BBs left in the magazine.
Does it need to get broken in? There seems to be thin grease all over the mechanical stuff inside so the lubrication doesn't seem to be a problem.

BTW, this is my very first gas BB gun.

How many shots is several? 3-4 or a couple mags? The primary reason for a slide sticking partway forward is due to not enough force being exerted by the gas. It could be that the duster gas is not powerful enough YET to drive the slide due to it being brand new. When you fire it, does the slide cycle all the way back, or only partway? Is your magazine room temperature or cold? When you manually cycle the slide, (by pulling it back all the way, then just letting go), does it return to normal or stick?

It is common knowledge.

Spray the loading nozzle inside and out with silicone oil.

Could be an issue with the magazine.

Try propane with little silicon oil.
I shot 4 mags off my Glock 17 custom w/ propane already, no problem yet. Only the stock plastic slide can't fit into a blackhawk cqc holster :(

Thanks guys. I think your replies are spot on.
I didn't know how much pressure was enough so I was using an old can that was going empty so it wasn't putting enough liquid gas into the magazine. (even with low pressure the magazine felt cold) I opened a fresh can with dioflouroethane and charged it and it fired good. I am using the oil I bought from AONW. The gun came with plastic slide so I am hesitant to use Propane....

Thank you. Now I know how strong it should blow back.

Diflouroethane should have a bit less PSI than Tetraflorothane. Check the backs of Duster cans. It'll give you a bit more oomph, not much but it helps.

I went to walmart and Target and all they had was difluoroethane... But it works.
My butanol cap apators cracked after several uses. I ordered a Propane adapter from eBay.

when you charge it, how do you know it's full? With one charge how many shots can you fire?
Thanks.

According to ehobbyasia, TM G26 is HFC22 - ready. And people use Green gas and Propane interchangeably, right? So I guess I will give Propane a try.

DO NOT USE PROPANE! This will break your gun. Dude I've seen this lots of times. TM Glocks with the way the front of the slide is designed will break under extensive use with green gas and under short use with propane. 1911's obviously have a different slide set up. As a retailer I am telling you DO NOT USE PROPANE with the stock slide.
