Action Movie sequences on pistols do they harm?

Postby Partiro » Tue May 25, 2010 11:44 pm

Ok One of the big reasons why I have a gbb pistol is because I like to pretend I am in a John woo film or something and do crazy stuff with my pistol.

The thing is will this harm my pistol? No I am not dry firing it or anything, the main thing I am really doing is just reloading the mag with the momentum/force of just having the gun lock it by a downward thrust which is very cool but I noticed it scratched the mag a lot faster.

I think this could potentially harm my pistol because of the extra force the mag exerts onto the gun as it is being clicked into place by the force of the gun being brought down by my hand.

I don't quite under stand what ur asking but if ur slamming mag into place you can harm a few thing like feed valve mag release at some point u got to remember these are not steel firearms they can break easier . So with that said just be careful

The thing that locks a mag in place is the mag release button, kinda obvious but it's nothing too fancy. Either the mag or the part is slanted so it can't get busted up when you put the mag in, and it locks it up to the correct position where it can have the loading nozzle propel the gas after pushing a bb in the chamber, so really all your doing is making a cool clink noise, but it's not really doing any damage.

Just be careful of the feed lips. Make sure that whatever force is going onto the magazines is going onto either metal or nonessential parts, rather than the usually plastic feed lips.

Just carry a bunch of pistols a la The Matrix and throw them away when they run out.
