KWA/KSC G18c problems

Postby willy » Wed Apr 28, 2010 1:44 pm

Recently my G18c has been firing 3-round bursts or completely fully automatic when the selector switch is set to single shot. And when it shoots fully automatic, only the first bb goes far, and the rest just fall out. Can anyone tell me what is going on so that i can save my baby?!

Are you filling the magazine completely? I have experienced the "burst fire" when my gas level is low.

This is my first time with extended mags, and i usually do 4-5 bursts of propane/silicone mixture for 3-4 seconds a burst so that i don't freeze my o-rings.

Did you try more gas? Or are you satisfied with assuming they are full? My old Hi-capa took about 4-5 bursts of 3-4 seconds to be full

Have you ever cleaned your pistol?

Some problems are hard to diagnose over the internet. The G18C especially has a bunch of finciky little parts, and there could be many causes.

I would check it with multiple different magazines, and with a new can of green gas or propane. Also, taking it apart and cleaning it as Snak suggested is a good bet.

After checking those things, let us know what it's doing again, and we may be able to help you.

One thing it could be that I've seen on a couple of this types of pistols, if you remove the entire blowback chamber assembly, and put a very small spacer, like .5-.8mm above the blowback assembly, it seats the blowback unit closer to the guts in the rear of the frame and allows it to engage properly.

I have lubed It plenty and have cleaned it plenty of times. My blow back side thing moves in a rough manner, even with a small amount of oil on it. I know the problem is not in the mags because it does the same thing with all three of my mags.

Mine does that, the burst fire and low gas bb's issue will disappear and then the gun will only fire in automatic mode. There is some adjustment wheel that needs to be tuned to get it back into shape, I need to take my gun in to have this done.
