Hello, I wonder how fun to have the FPG?
The conversion kit looks awesome, but it requires a G18C to have it done.
Is it simply a pistol? A sub gun? Or just a gimmick??

It works like the real one you've seen in videos. It's fully auto when assembled with a G18C

I just got mine in the mail today. Very sweet. Only issue is they spray painted the backend and part of the front tip bright orange to comply with US customs. I started sanding the paint off the backend cuz it really takes away from an otherwise beautiful (in my opinion) airsoft gun.

I'll post pictures soon but first I got to install my newly purchased G18C. and paint the backend while leaving the front orange. I'm new to airsoft so this may take a while. I saw this and had to have it.

Playing with the empty shell is tons of fun I can hardly wait to get the G18C in it and out to a field.

Is it obviously spray paint, or is it a coating that is tough to remove? If it's just sprayed I would recommend trying some 100% acetone and that should take it right off. Did it come with the lower as I suspect, or do you need the entire G18 to incur functionality?

I'll try acetone cuz its just spray paint. I've lightly sanded it with sandpaper and most of it came off. I'll pick up the acetone tomorrow thanks for the suggestions. It needs the almost complete upper KSC G18C slide.

The instructions are a pictorial no words. In brief it indicates the slights should be removed. The selector switch is replaced along with another part (I don't know the name of). It already has a grip and trigger assembly attached.

Sorry for the double post but I think I won't be trying the acetone after all. I just read that acetone melts plastic. since this thing is made of a type of plastic I will not be placing it in jeopardy.

Modeling thinner works great to remove the orange paint, with cotton balls & Q tips.
The gun looks good, but the price will be close to $400 with the G18C.

I just got a request for the installation instructions for the FPG Kit. There is not a lot to it see below. Also, I got my FPG from Redwolf Airsoft.

Very cool. If it is actually plastic and not a fiber or similar I would also recommend modelling thinner or a nail polish remover that is a lower concentration or acetone free. How does it work so far?

I'd love some updates. How is the paint removal so far?

LiquidSnak, from what I've read about the FPG, it's made of some sort of fiber polymer. Assuming that is correct, will it take more to acetone and not discolor? I have no experience with plastic/fiber airsoft guns and would like to know before I purchase this. Thanks.

Here you go guys better late than never. I should have posted this a while ago but I found the best answer to remove the paint from the FPG. All you need is cotton-balls and Citra-Solv. (Found this on the interwebs)

Just dab a cotton-ball with Citra-Solv and the paint just wipes off. To insure no damage is done to other parts that may be made of a different type of plastic don't over do it. For me the paint literally wiped off as if it was dirt. Over 99% of the paint came off there are only trace amounts remaining.

Good info. I'm assuming no discoloration of the black plastic has occurred. Hope you can post some pics. Although this is reassuring.

I'll post some pictures soon. The kit is still in the box and the G18C is not installed yet. Once I removed the paint I got busy with other things.

Sorry for the double post. Here is a link to my FPG. Enjoy.

If you look closely you'll see a trace of the orange paint on the rear stock. Don't ask me why they painted the stock orange and not the front.[/url]
