I would like to know which is more high maintenance? also which from a personal standpoint would be better as a secondary weapon in a holster on a tactical vest?

TM 1911.

Yes its not on the list, but for a first side arm, you want something accurate, not something with full auto. A sidearm is that "oh-shit-my-primary-is-dead-must-kill-haji-asap!" thing you relay on. Sure FA is fun, but having your rounds not hit what your aiming at is a leading cause of getting shot.

If your stuck on those 2 though, when I had a Mac 11, its was a breeze to take care of it. I never really figured out a good way to carry it though. Maybe get a weapon catch and a length of shock cord?

I'm pretty much going to echo everything that has been posted above: I agree with jew, get a 1911. As he said, if you MUST have one of those two, I would recommend the MAC-11. It is pretty accurate, and it is pretty darn reliable. I have yet to have any sort of malfunction with mine after putting at least 40 magazines worth of ammo through it, that is nearly 2000 rounds. And it is just more fun to shoot in my opinion.

Here are the biggest issues you will run into with a MAC:

The size of it: it is huge by pistol standards (it is pushing the pistol/SMG boundry) and will not fit even some large type holsters.

The rear sight sucks absolute nuts (not that you would be using it): the positioning of it is so low, that when shouldering the MAC, it is hard to get your face down there in the short space between the rear of the gun and the stock in your way.

The stock, while made of metal has some up and down movement/wobble, and the tube frame portion easily slides up your shoulder when using it (again, not that you would be using it).

For outdoors: it's use is best resigned to "oh sh!t" moments where you are out on your primary, and need to unleash a stream of plastic death at the guy that is about to shoot you. For indoors: it has the accuracy, magazine size, rate of fire, and ability to be shouldered that allow it to be used as a primary weapon.

I owned both the KWA Mac11 and the M93r.
I'd go with the m93r if you had the money...
But if you are talking about which is easier to take care of...Mac 11.
The spring in the m93r is a pain in the a$$ to get back in.

The thing you have to remember about TM is that they are plastic. They are not meant for green gas or propane either, although many many people use them on it just fine. TM Mags are $$$ as well. Any 1911 or M9 by KWA will serve you much better for the same money and KJW has a new line of 1911's coming out that look very promising. Look there instead.
I DID NOT INVENT THE INTERNETS FOR THIS

Jew, stop with the M9 hate. Jeesh.

On topic--Do realize that the M93R does not fit in most standard M9 holsters. That really annoyed me.

I'm really a huge proponent of the WE 1911 or M9. Those that have them seem to be pretty happy with theirs. $135 for a gun with two extra mags, and ASGI will ship for free.
The King Of al-Talk. Hey, at least I'm not a troll.

My dog wouldn't know what to do with a duck if she caught it, but she's cute. And hates Mexicans. +1!

If you go with TM, their MEU is hot.

And I have nothing against M9s, I love mine. I'd avoid WE 1911s since I've seen too many fail for retarded reasons.

If you can, fondle different pistols in person before deciding. You might find you want a Glock or Sig replica instead of a M93r or Mac11.

Never had my WE 1911 fail for any reason. Never seen my team mates' WE 1911s fail for any reason aside from the one thing that plagues all GBBs, the uncared for mag springing a leak. Mags are abundant, as are parts. +... They're metal.
