Real Steel Holster For Airsoft Glock 18c?

Postby Chairmanlao » Wed Jan 27, 2010 7:00 pm

I'm not a fan of the crappy holsters made for airsoft guns.

I'm thinking about getting a concealed kind.
Around 15-30 bucks.

Now, I the kind where its the harder plastic? That locks in the place pretty well.

Now, i'm not which ones would fit, nor do I know which ones are good.

Input?
Thanks

look into Blackhawk's line of Serpa holsters. They're kydex hard plastic and lock the pistol into the holster by way of a lever that grabs onto the trigger guard. Good solid brand holster, many people in this community (and others) swear by them.

Any holster that is designed for a full frame glock will fit your glock18

Blade tech, and Fobus are pretty good for the price range you are looking for. Many of the High zoot ones (SERPA) are much more money. A really good holster like Safariland or Bianchi are 100+. I own both, good holsters but mucho deneros

Safariland 6378 ALS. Thumb is used to unlock the active retention device (Automatic Locking System) when deploying the pistol. The G18 isn't listed but it should be the same form & size factor of the G17 (G18 is just the full auto version of the G17).

It isn't under $30, but it isn't over $100 either.

Oh so the "17, 19, 20, 23" etc.
Doesn't matter correct?

I'm liking the Blackhawk, because its cheap, and i'm new at this.

You don't want one meant for the 21 though since thats the .45 version and its a bit bigger.

+1 to a SEPRA or Safariland though. I've got 4 SERPAs and I've got a Safariland next on my list.

The 19 and 23 are not full frame. They're compact. and yes, as jewish noted. The 21 is .45 so it's a larger frame. I was waiting for someone to mention that. I was too lazy to edit. hah. The Glock 20 is also slightly larger.

the 17, 18, 22, 31, are all full (standard)frame.

two size of Glock frames. the barrel length is irrelevant as most same size guns will fit the same frame size holster. 26,19,17,18 will all fit the same frame size holster, although the bigger 17 &18) will not fit in the holsters specifically sized for the small (26 ) length barrel. Dont get too hung up on retention levels as they are designed to prevent disarming. Keep it simple, a level 2 or 3 retention holster is way too complicated for airsoft guns.

You could just call a real gun shop and ask them, I'm sure they would know. Since our airsoft weapons are so close to the real thing I'm sure that what ever they tell you would work.

Go to Saturday Market and ask those guys who make duct tape wallets to make you a holster.

Yup the only difference size wise is a selector switch. G18 is sold only to military or law enforcement agencies. Its a hoot to shoot. 32 rnd mag in under 2 seconds
