TM 1911 problems

I just recently took apart my 1911 to do some custom paint on the frame and I got everything put back together but not sure if I got that flat spring where it should be the hammer will not stay in cocked postion when cocked think it's this[img]http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x121/krhurrl/IMG_1526.jpg[img] and the flat spring I need some help

I'd suggest removing the mainspring housing, making sure that the flat spring has been installed correctly, then putting it back together. That solves most hammer and trigger problems with 1911s.

I put flat spring in correct it hast to do with the cocking mech were the hammer lock in the cocked postion that and the stricker that hits the valve on mag

Ignoring the horror of painting a gas gun...

I know how to put it back in, but at the same time, it's rather difficult to explain... That piece goes on the right side of the hammer mechanism. You push it upwards, and the top should protrude from the rear right frame rail. One of the prongs on the trigger spring should actually press on that triangular piece on the bottom.
