Kwa Glock 17 vs Glock 19

Discussion of GBB (gas blowback) replicas.

Kwa Glock 17 vs Glock 19

Postby Chairmanlao » Fri Dec 25, 2009 6:37 pm

I just got two glocks. A 17 and a 19.
Now other than the 19 being more "compact" and the 17 being longer.
I want everyones input on which one they like better.

and if I was to choose one to use in a game, which one should I pick?
Thanks

Ones like an inch shorter than the other. That's it... Just get whichever you like more.

Yeah the 19 is shorter, I guess the 19 feels better in my hands.
But if I stick with the 19, i'm just going pimp the shit out of it. lol

Are the interior barrels of the g17 & g19 also different? If it is, I'm wondering if there's that much difference in accuracy with the "longer" inner barrel of the g17 over the g19.

The inner barrel is longer, yes. I strongly doubt there is a discernible difference in performance in terms of accuracy. The 17 has a heavier slide which equates for more gas consumption, but it also takes larger magazines with a higher capacity gas reservoir, so the effect is moot. The internal mechanisms are identical, so the preference between the two is STRICTLY subjective. I prefer the size of the 19/23, and even moreso the sub-compact 26, to that of the 17. I have owned half a dozen KWA/KSC Glocks, and all have served me well.

Wow, thank you all for the input.
Even though I don't play on tues. haha

Seems like the 19 is the better pick, it fits my hand better anyways.
And the 17 i'm not going out spending a silencer for it.

I like the 17, but thats from both shooting RS with a 17 (and not liking the way a 19/23 jumps around) and the 17 fitting my hands better.

I prefer the G19 too probably because of the rather compact size and the fact that i always look like a huge wang when i walk around with big pistols.

Use em both in akimbo.

I like the 26. It is really a fun toy.

Well I just finshed cleaning the guns and test firing them.
Feels like the slide on the 19 is a bit slower, the 17 is alot more sharp.

In real life I’m more of a fan of the G17 for you can buy a ACP conversion kit.

I too own both. when compactness counts I go for the 19 (vest mounted), when it does not and because I have large hands I like the 17. I have owned both and the 26 in real steel and they shoot nearly identically and surprisingly with the 26 (compact) my qualifacation scores were equal, even with the much shorter barrel. Great guns real and airsoft. I am an armorer for the real steel version if any of you need work on the real thing.....easy to work on , they rarely ever fail...my pet gun brand.
