WE M4/SCAR barrels

Postby Mongoose » Sat Sep 26, 2009 1:28 pm

Hey all,

For the past few weeks I've been google'ing info on when WE is supposed to put out some longer length barrels. I've come up with the M4 barrels only at Airsoft Buddy and AONW for the 363mm and 262 lengths. Any news I haven't been able to find on longer barrels?

Thanks guys, it's much appreciated.

You might want to check this out.

http://www.edgicustom-usa.com/index.php

he doesn't have long barrels per-se but you can order them at a custom length of your choice and it may not be listed but you can get them for your WEM4 and SCAR L gbbs.

I'm going to try a 6.00 barrel on my WEM4 and see how that goes. Will post a review as soon as I get the barrel plugged in.

Hold your horses Mongoose!

I talked to the guy and he apparently hasn't made barrels for the WE rifles just yet despite what folks have told me. However, I am going to make a pilgrimage to his place sometime soon and help him bang out a barrel with a few to-die for features. (He and I both live in the Philippines but are from different, far-from-each-other regions)

This is the one I'm having custom made:
6.00 cm inner diameter, CQB length. (carbine length will also be available, as well as custom lengths) (less space for the bb to bounce around in the tube, better air compression)
built in noise amplifier (optional)
porting to reduce air turbulence around the bb once it leaves the barrel. (means even more accuracy)
and an outer diameter adjusted to fit snugly inside the outer barrel to reduce vibration (even more accuracy)

Once my prototype is made and tested, it will be made available for sale.

This might also cause you to salivate:

The kit can also be made for gas blowbacks.

I'd love to hear more about this. I'd like a carbine length.

You'll get my full review as soon as I get the barrel :)

I've also heard that development for the adaptation of an AEG hop for the WE system is ongoing.

I'm not very pleased with the WE hopup.

That M4 sniper conversion made me kinda... randy, to say the least. I'm not sure how good it would really look on a SCAR, but, man oh man, did it look nice on that M4.

Any idea when the pilgrimage will be made?

Neither am I. I'm sure if I'm just doing it wrong, but mine won't adjust. Anyone else had these problems?

But is the Mk2 even out yet? I can't seem to find it.

Which hop are you guys using? The first release looks like a tiny rubber pill while the newer one looks like a black rubber cock-ring. (ROFL)

http://airsoftbuddy.com/index_ecat.php?cPath=32 <-- this is the most complete list of upgrades and parts I've seen.

All I can say is that the newer hop found here is more adjustable. But if you get it, you also need to get a new barrel.

If you really can't wait for the pilgrimage, you can get a new 6.02 chromed barrel from that site at carbine and cqb lengths. I'm currently using one of these on my M4 and they are pretty good.

Mongoose, the pilgrimage will take place in a week or two but I'll try to push it a little earlier.

Yeah I have a bunch of those black ones.

The was a little booger looking thing.

then green cock ring

now its a black cock ring.

Supposedly the black one is supposed to be much much better. I personally havent tested them yet.

Will the black one fit the stock SCAR barrel?

What exactly do you mean by more adjustable? Because I have the stock setup right now, and the rubber literally doesn't budge when I attempt to adjust it.
