The slide of the Hi Capa is the same width as a standard 1911. It will fit into the majority of holsters.
The only part considerably wider than standard 1911's is the grip, which usually doesn't go inside the holster.
The Hi Capa is a decent gun in stock form. Under extreme conditions, the pot metal internals wear rather quickly and can break.
Fortunately, there are a bunch of upgrade parts available.
As a base platform, it is a cost effective way to build a reliable custom sidearm.
I've had 6 or 7 over the last couple years, and still have 2.
If you are going to go for the 5.1, I would recomend either the Dragon with the split slide, or the K model with the vented slide. These two designs have the lightest slides which helps a great deal with gas consumption as the WE Hi Capas are notorious gas hogs.
I typically only load 20 BBs in each magazine to ensure I have ample gas to lock the slide on an empty mag.
