drags?

drag pads dude. one of the most important elements in a ghillie suit.

use some old canvas cut to shape and sew it on the legs, chest and anywhere else you will be dragging.

i used some fake leather. works awsome. got it at joannes.

Drags will make your suit last longer. Otherwise you will be patching your knees, elbows, and chest up constantly. I built a suit not too long ago and cut up a water proof bag I found at an army surplus store - and used that material for drags. Now I just have canvas - and put some closed cell foam under the knees and elbows for some comfort.

BTW anyone tell you you look like John Lennon? That's awesome

not to be annoying but there's no way you could have known i don't have drag pads....lol
but you're right, i don't! and i know what they are, havn't heard them by that name though

i'm not too worried yet, eventually i'll put some canvas on, but around here, unless you're hiding or there's a clearing, you can't really be crawling most of the time, it's too thick, you wouldn't have any visual on much of anything, that's why my suit has netting to around the bottom of my rib cage on the front, a lot of crouching

Here's some examples of 'drags' from my suit as a sample. The chest drags help ya low crawl minimizing snags.
