I personally have the CYMA CM028U RIS Anniversary Edition and have a friend who's CYMA CM028 Para outlasted his CA and TM guns, but that's just in his experience. I really like mine. It's quiet, reliable, and has great FPS, Range and Accuracy right out of the box.

I've heard plenty of good stories with both DBoys and the CYMA AK fields.
Now. Which particular model of the AK were you looking for? To the extent of my knowledge, CYMA carries a greater variety of AK variants than DBoys.
I'd tell you to be careful. It's not the Tank you need to fear.

It all depends upon your personal taste, honestly.
Though, there's more M4s floating about that AKs, and if you're look for a more 'tactical' version, its considerably easier to tacticool out an M4 than it is an Ak. There are RIS systems out there for an AK, some are even sold as the 'tactical AK' variants you see with CYMAs and the like.

Again. It's your personal preference.

That's like asking if you should get an apple or an orange. They're both fruit, but radically different and which you prefer is, well, what you prefer.

Also, it's customary when using the English language to end a question with a . . . question mark.

My first gun was a CYMA CM028C "Tactical AK". I loved it for it's performance. However I soon realized I am not an AK person and a year later bought a KWA CQR. Now I am buying an M15A4 from CA. It just goes to show, if you end up not liking one, you can always save up again for the other.

Damn, I almost forgot the point I was trying to make out of that mess.

Funny thing about apples and oranges both get there primary flavor notes from being acidic.

But in this case OP, I'd say get an AK. My Cyma AK's are beastly. Durable, reliable, and at around the right cost for tinkering with, they make some of the best starter guns in my book.

Ha.

I'd say go for an AK. V3 Gearbox is more durable, and AK's are more unique. Also, depending on what type of role you like to play, the AK can fit into most: rebels, civilians, "terrorists", and if done right will fit with a more "military" style loadout. AK magazines don't have the compatibility issues that you OFTEN get with M4's, and a good metal AK will be tough as nails. Go for a DBoy or CYMA with a metal body, drop a 9.6 or a 7.4 LiPo in it, then buy some midcaps and tear it up :)

AK's are great.

Why are CYMA full metal AK's so expensive? Almost $200 for metal/wood combo when their AKMs sell for $150?
I'm the osiris of this.

I see metal/wood AKMs for $160, and the most expensive not reaching $200, besides their RPK.

OP: buy the RPK, it's $170 on GI. Killer deal.
