Losing teeth?

Postby FunkyDoucheMan » Mon Sep 13, 2010 7:10 pm

I know there are some guys that aim right for the mouth to pop out a tooth. And my question is... How often do people lose teeth at airsoft games? And is it a good idea to have a mouthgaurd or face protection?

(I know, its a noob question. Get over it.)

I see it happen once every couple games..

Bad aim happens, teeth get shot out. Want to prevent it don't play... Otherwise a mask or mouthguard might be a wise investment..

Kidding about the don't play bit.

Ive seen it happen on accident and on purpose. In fact one of my friends was trying to do that. It happens from time to time. In most cases its just bad luck.

It is easily avoidable with a shemagh, balaclava or mouth guard.

You can easily get any one of those items for under $20 and avoid a $200+ dental bill. ;)

I would like to meet him so I can punch him quite hard in the nose. Who does that shit? Tell him to grow up, and stop giving us minors a bad name.

It happened to me in Spetember 2009. I lost one of the top front ones. It cost a lot more than $200. If I remember it was $2200 my cost after insurance.

I now wear a mouth guard everytime.

Keep your mouth closed. It will just hit your lip, Like it did when some jack a$$ with a SAW popped out of the bushes 5 meters away an unloaded on my face.

Doesn't Bitter End make a cool looking mesh facemask?

I've had what I think I could safely say one of the gnarliest lost tooth experiences in the community, but I don't blame anybody but myself for it. I wasn't wearing face protection and I was screaming my head off.

I don't protect my mouth, but I don't let my teeth show past my lips when I'm shooting people. If I wanted, I could wear my mouth guard. It was fairly cheap and comes with a $1200 sort of "dental warranty". If your teeth get hurt when you're wearing it, they pay up to $1200 for the dental work.
